From Twitter threads to campus conversations, and even in our own homes, a culture of victim blaming thrives in South Africa. It’s the main reason why only 1 in 4 sexual crimes is reported here, and why victims often feel so alone. It’s why perpetrators feel so safe, and so often get away with their crimes.

So, for International Women’s Month, Hype Magazine and the TEARS Foundation came together to launch a call for change.
